오늘 저는 이 자리에서 영광스럽게도, 프란치스코 교황 성하께서 정순택 베드로 주교님을 서울대교구장과 평양교구장 서리로 임명하셨음을 알려 드립니다.

동시에, 프란치스코 교황님께서는 염수정 안드레아 추기경님의 사목 소임에서의 사임을 수락하셨습니다.

프란치스코 교황 성하를 대신하여 저는 새 교구장 정순택 베드로 대주교님께 진심 어린 축하를 드리며 기도와 지원을 약속드립니다.

프란치스코 교황 성하를 대신하여 저는 염수정 안드레아 추기경님께서 보여 주신 아낌없는 헌신에 마음 깊이 감사드리며 추기경님을 위한 기도를 약속드립니다.

교황 성하께서는 서울대교구의 정순택 대주교님과 염수정 추기경님, 보좌 주교님들, 성직자와 수도자 그리고 하느님 백성 전체에게 풍성한 축복을 보내십니다. 교황님께서 여러분 모두를 평화의 모후이신 복되신 동정 마리아의 어머니다운 보호에 의탁하십니다.

I have the honor today to announce that Our Holy Father, Pope Francis, has appointed His Excellency Bishop Peter CHUNG Soon-Taick, O.C.D., Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Seoul and Apostolic Administrator of Pyongyang.

At the same time, I inform that the Holy Father, Pope Francis has accepted the resignation from the Pastoral duties of the same Archdiocese presented by His Eminence Cardinal Andrew YEOM Soo-jung.

On behalf of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, I express heartfelt congratulations to the new Archbishop Peter CHUNG, assuring him of our prayers and support.

On behalf of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, I thank most heartily Cardinal Andrew YEOM for his generous dedication assuring him of our prayers.

The Holy Father invokes abundant blessings upon Archbishop CHUNG, Cardinal YEOM, the Auxiliary Bishops, the clergy and religious and the entire people of God in the Archdiocese of Seoul. He entrusts all under the maternal protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of peace.
